Rudy Fernandez showed up blissful after winning the gold medal with the Spanish national team. Real Madrid‘s forward said about his incredible season: “I’m very proud that I was member of this amazing team. We didn’t start well the tournament, but we were believing that we could finish on top. This year, 2015, is by far the best season in my year, while I won every with Real and now the Eurobasket”.
When he was asked about his back injury: “Unfortunatelly, I couldn’t play in the level that I can, but I gave my best. I thank the doctors and the physio for their help. Real wouldn’t like what I did, but this team and this nation deserves that”.
For how long will Spain keep winning? “As long as Pau plays…” said Rudy.
