The Spanish national team returned to Madrid and celebrated with its fans the gold medal in Eurobasket 2015. Pau Gasol was of course once more the star of the show and he confirmed that he is ready for next summer.
By speaking to the Catalan radio station Rac1, the Eurobasket MVP stated that he intends to play in the Rio 2016 Olympics: “I have a player option next summer. If I am in a good shape, I want to keep playing also for the Spanish national team. I am lucky that I enjoy doing what I love. Still I have more ambitions and I want to win more. I don’t think about my age, but about my condition”.
