The French superstar gave an interview and talked about what the French newspaper “Le Monde” wrote about Pau Gasol.
The French newspaper, through Clément Guillou’s blog, implied that Pau Gasol took performance-enhancing drugs during the 2015 Eurobasket. Batum gave an interview at the Spanish site “www.eljuegodenaismith.com” and talked about this issue: “I don’t understand why the newspaper published something like this, but I don’t care. One way or another, I don’t believe Pau played having taken performance-enhancing drugs.”
About the semi-final against Spain, he said: “It was an intensive game but we don’t hate each other. We respect them. At the end of the day, we are the best two teams in Europe. Again, though, we met very early. It happens all the time…”
Charlotte Hornets‘ forward, along with Tony Parker, pledged that they will play with France in the Pre-Olympic Tournament and as he mentioned: “We have a new season in front of us. We will gather together again in June and hope to be able to go to Rio. And maybe there, Spain will win again,” Batum said while he was laughing at the same time.
