The Lithuanian national team expects reinforcement from the nation’s NBA players for the upcoming EuroBasket and head coach Kazys Maksvytis announced Friday his 16-man preliminary roster for the big event, as well as the August qualifiers.
Domantas Sabonis and Jonas Valanciunas highlight the selection, while Orlando Magic talent Ignas Brazdeikis is also included on the list.
During August, the Lithuanian NT will play a select few preparation games before facing Hungary and Montenegro (August 24 and 27 respectively) in the second round of the FIBA World Cup 2023 qualifiers.
