Giannis Antetokounmpo will not play tonight (11/8) in Madrid, in the second prep game between Spain and Greece. The Greek Freak has traveled with the Greek national team to the Spanish capital, however, he will be rested.
The decision is made as a precautionary measure due to knee soreness since the road to the official games for the FIBA World Cup qualifiers and the Eurobasket 2022 is still long. It goes without saying that Giannis will be protected anytime it’s needed as he is getting ready not only for his obligations with the Greek national team but also for the upcoming NBA season with the Bucks.
The Greek national team is still also missing George Papagiannis and Kostas Sloukas, while Spain will have for the first time Sergio Llull available.
Giannis dominated the first prep game between the two teams.
