The Italian Basketball Federation announced the final 12-man roster of the national team for the upcoming 2022 EuroBasket (1/9). Italy is one of the four co-host countries, together with Czech Republic, Georgia and Germany.
Reyer Venezia center Amedeo Tessitori is the last cut made by coach Gianmarco Pozzecco. Boston Celtics forward Danilo Gallinari headlines the list of players that also includes Olimpia Milano forwards Nicolo Melli and Gigi Datome (team captain), plus newly acquired Utah Jazz forward Simone Fontecchio.
The full squad, that will also be used in the upcoming 2023 World Cup Qualifiers game vs. Georgia (27/8) is as follows:

Italy will participate in Group C that will be played in Milan. Greece, Croatia, Ukraine, Great Britain and Estonia will also compete in the Group from which the four top teams will advance to the Top 16 knockout stage in Berlin.
