Poland overcame Ukraine 86-94 with a great offensive second half and Michal Sokolowski contributed to his team’s victory with 13 points, 2/4 from three-point, and 5 rebounds.
Poland will now face Slovenia in the EuroBasket 2022 quarter-finals, reached for the first time since 1997. And while this is already a huge result for Poland, now there’s a huge challenge against one of the top players in the world.
When asked about playing against Luka Doncic, the Polish small forward said: “It’s hard to stop him, for sure. It’s team defense, we have to be focused on his and their game. We just have to enjoy and sacrifice like we did today”.
