Berlin, Germany – After two close calls against Turkey in the Round of 16 and Italy in the quarterfinals, France have qualified for the Eurobasket 2022 semifinals.
And if that’s because the Basketball Gods are favoring “Les Bleus”, Rudy Gobert doesn’t have any issue with this.
“I am just going to keep praying to the Gods of Basketball”, he said with a smile about the fact that both Cedi Osman and Simone Fontecchio missed two key free throws respectively.
“It’s almost like we are getting into desperation mode, we rise on intensity, but what I am telling to the guys is that we have to be in desperation mode also when we are up by 12”, he admitted about the way the French national team reacts in closing the games, while letting the opponents comeback after getting a good lead.
