After the succesful Eurobasket 2015, FIBA decided that Eurobasket 2017 will also have four co-hosts. Finland, Israel, Romania and Turkey will hosts the four groups of the first round and Turkey will hosts in Istanbul the final phase.
The tournament is going to be held between the 31st of August and the 17th of September. It’s not surprise that Turkey is being awarded the main event. Basketball is enjoying its best days in the country and this tournament is a great chance for the national team to achieve something big.
Turkey has hosted the Eurobasket back in 2001 and the Mundobasket of 2010.
