Sweden defeated Bulgaria 84 – 70 to enter the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers with an important victory at home.
Melwin Pantzar led a balanced effort by the Swedish team with 16 points, five assists and three steals while Adam Ramstedt and Tobias Borg dropped 14 points apiece. The hosts made the most out of their 15 offensive rebounds with 19 second-chance points and received an important contribution from bench players who scored 32.
Bulgaria, on the other hand, didn’t have that many solutions. Baskonia guard Codi Miller-McIntyre had 21 points, Hristo Zahariev finished with 16 points and Pavlin Ivanov scored 10 but no other player managed to provide substantially for the visiting side.
