Germany picked up from where they left off in the opener of the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers.
Oscar Da Silva had 19 points and seven rebounds in his debut with the senior German national team as the reigning world champions routed Montenegro 85 – 61 in Ludwigsburg.
Apart from Da Silva, who also notched four assists, Malte Delow delivered 14 points and four dimes while Luis Olinde scored 14 as well. Nick Weiler-Babb completed the game with 10 points and five assists.
Kendrick Perry scored 16 points, Nemanja Radovic dropped 13 points and Vladimir Mihailovic added 10 points for Montenegro that was overall more competitive than what the final score shows. Their team was overwhelmed right off the bat, as Germany made a dynamic 28 – 10 entrance and kept trailing by quite the margin but managed to recover in the second half
Montenegro transformed a 55 – 37 deficit into 58 – 52 early in the fourth period to make it a game once more. It was Da Silva who took over for Germany as the hosts responded with a a 12 – 0 run, never to look back.
