After losing in the first game of these 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers and despite being without its naturalized player and leader TJ Shorts, North Macedonia found a huge 96-71 win in Poland to bounce back.
Former Joventut Badalona and Valencia guard Nenad Dimitrijevic, now in Russia with UNICS Kazan, led his team in scoring with 32 points, 8 rebounds, and 8 assists. The newly naturalized North Macedonian Ethan Happ provided 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists in the win.
On the losing side, the recently named Italian Cup MVP – after dragging Napoli to the upset over Milan – Michal Sokolowski had a losing effort of 15 points and 6 rebounds, followed by Michal Michalak’s 20 points and 9 rebounds, almost providing a losing double-double.
With this victory, the North Macedonian national team is now back on track in Group H, bouncing back from the defeat against Estonia and standing at 1-1.
No big issues for the Polish national team, which is now at the bottom of Group H after heavily losing to Lithuania in Gameday 1. Igor Milicic’s team is already qualified for EuroBasket 2025 as co-host, alongside Finland, Cyprus, and Latvia.
