The Czech Republic grabbed its first victory in the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers by defeating Great Britain 90 – 82 at home.
Tomas Satoransky had 21 points (on 8 out of 13 shots), 10 assists, four rebounds and three steals to pace the Czech side. Tomas Kyzlink added 16 points and Martin Peterka posted 13 points plus eight rebounds.
Sacha Killeya-Jones dropped 19 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Great Britain, that’s also 1-1 now. Carl Wheatle finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds while Amin Adamu scored 16.
The two teams were close (49 – 47) at halftime and then the Czech team took a 66 – 55 halfway through the third period. The visiting squad came back to approach by a shooting distance, 69 – 67 but their opponents responded with a 12 – 2 run to enter the final stretch with a double-digit lead that proved to be safe enough.
