The German Basketball Federation, DBB, releases preliminary list of 19 players heading to the next international window of FIBA

Carrying club experience in Germany, Dylan Osetkowski is set to expand to the international level in the same country. The San Diego native was named to the preliminary squad of the senior national team of Germany for upcoming games with Sweden.

The list additionally features Tibor Pleiss, who last played for Germany in 2016.

The German Basketball Federation, DBB, announced the selections of the new head coach Alex Mumbru, and called up 19 players on Monday.

At 1-1 in Group D of the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers, Germany is tied with Montenegro, Bulgaria, and Sweden. The top three out of the four countries will clinch a berth in next summer’s tournament.

The meeting with Sweden in Stockholm is on November 22, the same day FC Bayern Munich plays at home against FC Barcelona in Round 11 of the 2024-25 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Regular Season. Fellow EuroLeague outfit, ALBA Berlin will visit Real Madrid on November 21. However, the schedule clears up for the players of the Munich and Berlin outfits to represent their country opposite Sweden in Heidelberg on November 25.
