Giannoulis Larentzakis wasn’t really happy that he was forced to miss Tuesday’s (21/11) 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers game of the Greek national team since his club Olympiacos Piraeus had a EuroLeague game the same day.
The conflicting schedule has prohibited several EuroLeague players from joining their national teams and Larentzakis called FIBA and EuroLeague to sit down and solve the issue.
“Players aren’t pawns,” commented Larentzakis to Nova Sports. “A solution must be found between FIBA and the EuroLeague.”
