Yam Madar had 21 points and seven assists as Israel beat Ukraine 86 – 73 to improve to 2-1 in the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers Group A. Ukraine remains winless.
Tomer Ginat added 18 points plus eight rebounds, Khadeen Carrington scored 18 of his own and Roman Sorkin posted 13 points plus 10 rebounds for the Israeli side. After a close game for 26 minutes, their team made a 17 – 5 run to go up 67 – 55 early in the fourth period.
Ukraine didn’t manage to answer back, falling behind 59 – 76 down the stretch as Israel was securing the win. Artem Pustovyii (23 points, five rebounds) and Oleksandr Kovliar (15 points) scored in double figures for the Ukrainian team.
