France confidently marched to a win, 85-70, over Cyprus in Arena Futuroscope and improved to 4-0 in Group E of the Qualifiers but did not clinch a berth in the 2025 EuroBasket on Sunday. After resurfacing with Les Bleus with 15 points in the reverse fixture on Thursday, Axel Bouteille logged a team-high 15 points with 7/11 field goals in a one-sided affair in Poitiers. Amine Noua followed with 14 points for the team coached by Frederic Fauthoux.

With two games left, France created a two-game advantage in the race with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia for two tickets to the final stage. A 110-90 victory for the team coached by Aziz Beciragic in Mirza Delibasic Hall matched the Balkan countries at 2-2 and sent the tiebreaker advantage to the winners.

The meeting in Sarajevo featured Real Madrid teammates, Dzanan Musa and Mario Hezonja. Among six double-digit scorers at the winning end, the 25-year-old forward combined 19 points with five assists and three steals. A game-high 28 points by 29-year-old Hezonja was not enough for Croatia.

Dominating the fourth quarter, Lithuania secured a win, 94-72, versus North Macedonia and qualified for the EuroBasket. Gytis Radzevicius stood out with an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double in Klaipeda’s Svyturio Arena. The visitors were led by Nenad Dimitrijevic producing a career-high 43 points but the 26-year-old guard suffered an injury in his left leg.

Following a tipoff delay of 50 minutes due to a clock issue, Georgia pulled away in the second half to beat Finland, 81-64, in Tbilisi Arena. Lasting 35 minutes in a third showing over five days, including Turkish Airlines EuroLeague action with Virtus Segafredo Bologna on Wednesday, Tornike Shengelia fueled a key win with 25 points, six assists, four rebounds, and two steals. Kamar Baldwin added 22 points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Among the co-hosts with an automatic berth, Poland slowed down Estonia with a win, 88-86, in Tallinn’s Unibet Arena. Michal Michalak and Mateusz Ponitka scored 29 and 27 points, respectively. For the hosts, Matthias Tass posted a 19-point, 12-rebound double-double.

Behind a 77-70 victory in Den Haag’s Sportcampus Zuiderpark, the Netherlands finally got off the mark and prevented Czechia from completing the process for a ticket to the EuroBasket. Later Group F action resulted in Greece bouncing back with a win, 77-67, versus Great Britain in Thessaloniki’s PAOK Sports Arena. Kostas Papanikolaou and Panagiotis Kalaitzakis contributed 14 points apiece for the team coached by Vassilis Spanoulis.
