France confidently marched to a win, 85-70, over Cyprus in Arena Futuroscope and improved to 4-0 in Group E of the Qualifiers but did not clinch a berth in the 2025 EuroBasket on Sunday. After resurfacing with Les Bleus with 15 points in the reverse fixture on Thursday, Axel Bouteille logged a team-high 15 points with 7/11 field goals in a one-sided affair in Poitiers. Amine Noua followed with 14 points for the team coached by Frederic Fauthoux.

With two games left, France created a two-game advantage in the race with Bosnia-Herzegovina and Croatia for two tickets to the final stage. A 110-90 victory for the team coached by Aziz Beciragic in Mirza Delibasic Hall matched the Balkan countries at 2-2 and sent the tiebreaker advantage to the winners.

The meeting in Sarajevo featured Real Madrid teammates, Dzanan Musa and Mario Hezonja. Among six double-digit scorers at the winning end, the 25-year-old forward combined 19 points with five assists and three steals. A game-high 28 points by 29-year-old Hezonja was not enough for Croatia.
