Pending official confirmation, Vassilis Spanoulis is heading to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague as the new head coach of AS Monaco.

Asked about the La Roca Team, after a win with the senior national team of Greece in Group F of the 2025 EuroBasket Qualifiers, he fell short of elaborating on the projected next step in his coaching career.

“No, no, we’ll see, we’ll see,” Spanoulis replied to a question about Monaco during the postgame interview with public Greek television, ERT.

Spanoulis, 42, will remain the selector of Greece.

Since ending a legendary playing career, he went from the Select Team of the Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament in 2021 to two solid campaigns as the head coach of Peristeri and was in charge of Greece in the sprint to the Quarterfinals of the 2024 Olympic Games.
