Turkiye needed another win over Hungary after already beating them at home at the end of last week to officially make their name into EuroBasket 2025. Despite less easily than in the previous week’s encounter, finished 92-66 in front of Turkish fans, they did so regardless on the road.
Cedi Osman – who was granted special permission by Panathinaikos to already play last week – was particularly impressive for Ergin Ataman’s team in getting the 81-76 away victory over Hungary.
The former San Antonio Spurs forward put up a huge double-double of 33 points and 11 rebounds for Turkiye, officially clinching a spot in next year’s FIBA EuroBasket. His club teammate and countryman Omer Yurtseven almost finished with a double-double as he dropped 22 points and 9 boards.

On the other end, Hungary had a losing effort of 16 points and 7 rebounds from Gyorgy Goloman; Adam Hanga had an all-around performance of 9 points, 6 rebounds, and 9 assists but he wasn’t enough.
Turkiye relied only on scoring contributions from its starters, as bench players finished scoreless.
Following this victory, despite not having played yet at home against the Icelandic national team, the Italian national team also made their name in next year’s European competition.
