As the Russian basketball federation announced, Alexey Shved will not be part of the national team for the upcoming Eurobasket 2017 qualifiers.
Khimki’s guard sustained an ankle injury during the Supercup tournament in Ulm, Germany, and he will need surgery in order to recover. That means that he will miss the national team’s games (31st of August to 17th of September) and also the pre-season of Khimki.
However, Shved is expected to be able to play at the start of the Eurocup season with Khimki.
