A month and two days are left for the start of the upcoming Eurobasket and three teams that can be considered among the contenders for a medal on Friday got their wins in exhibition games.
With Boris Diaw (photo) leading a balance offense (14 p., 7 as., 7 r.) France beat Finland 101-93 in a high scoring contest. It was the first game of France after the initial 10 days of practices. In Celje, Slovenia, the hosts of the Eurobasket are also organizing a preparation tournament which started with Slovenia beating Latvia 71-67 with Boki Nachbar scoring 14 points. In the same tournament Serbia prevailed over Turkey 78-63 with ease, as Nenad Krstic had 23 points and Hidayet Turkoglu for the losing side scored 11.
