The win of Spain over France, despite the fact that Tony Parker didn’t play, was the most important result of the last four Friday night preparation games for the upcoming Eurobasket. Also, Turkey, Ukraine, Bosnia and Slovenia prevailed

Despite playing without Tony Parker, France gave a fight in Madrid, but in the end Spain got the 85-76 win in front of its home crowd and remained unbeaten in the preparation games before Eurobasket. Rudy Fernandez (13 p.), Sergio Rodriguez (12 p., photo), Sergio Llull (12 p.), Marc Gasol (12 p.) and Fernando San Emetario (10 p.) scored in double digits for the winners.

In Istanbul, Turkey didn’t face any real competition from Belgium and got the 77-53 win with Bucks‘ Ersan Ilyasova having a double double (19 p., 11 r.). Slovenia beat Montenegro 81-74 with Boki Nachbar being once more the top scorer of the winners with 16 points and Ukraine has to thank naturalized guard Pooh Jeter for the 84-83 road win over Poland. Τhe naturalized American guard scored 23 points and the winning shot. Also Bosnia beat Germany on the road 73-62 thanks to 26 points by Nets‘ Mirza Teletovic.
