Greece and Lithuania prevailed

Greeks played at home and got the win against Bosnia. However, what’s important on Tuesday’s result (88-71) is that the players of coach Trinkieri improved drastically their defense against a team that beat them in the tournament of Ulm by scoring 90 points. This time Bosnia shot just 36,4% from the field and Nets’ Mirza Teletovic scored just 13 points on 4/15 shots.

In the first game of Acropolis tournament, Lithuania with Linas Kleiza scoring 18 points beat Italy 79-63 without feeling any real danger. Gigi Datome didn’t play and Marko Belinelli scored 15 points with 5/21 shots.

Meanwhile Great Britain announced the cut of three players, forwards Flo Larkai and Orlan Jackman, and guard Paul Guede, leaving the preliminary roster to 14 players. Also Finland decided which will be the final Eurobasket dozen, as experienced coach Henrick Dettmann selected Koponen, Koivisto, Nikkila, Muurinen, Huff, Lee, Kotti, Rannikko, Mottola, Salin, Ahonen and Haanpaa.
