Thursday’s game is more than crucial, specially for Greece, but as both teams bumped into each other on Tuesday night there were only smiles. Spanish and Greek national team met in Stozice Arena and for some of their members it was like a highschool reunion.

Alex Mumbru had a lot to say with his former teammate Nikos Zisis and when he saw his former coach Fotis Katsikaris in the stands, he gave him a hug. As he said latter: “He is my friend and I was happy to see him. I would prefer, of cours, for him to be on a bench and not just a television commentator”.

Katsikaris had a small chat also with Spanish coach Juan Antonio Orenga and his assistant – and also head coach of Manresa until recently – Jaume Ponsarau, “We are good friends with Fotis and he is a great coach”, explained Orenga. Mike Bramos remembered his days in Gran Canaria by speaking to his former teammate Xavi Rey and George Printezis met again dr. Carlos Salas, who was also in charge of the medical team of Unicaja.
