Lithuania stuns France

Like in the first game of the first round against Germany, France (2-1) was out of sync also in the first game of the second round and Lithuania (2-1) got the easy 76-62 win. The players of coach Kazlauskas proved to be more ready, more focused, while France was expecting everything from Tony Parker (11 p.), who didn’t have any real help not even from his usual wingman, Nicolas Batum.

Rony Seibutis scored 15 points for the winners, Mantas Kalnietis had a great all around game with 8 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds, while Jonas Valanciunas (13 p.) and Linas Kleiza (11 p.) made some crucial baskets in the last quarter. After this result, Serbia is the leader in Group E with 3-0 record, Lithuania and France are tied (2-1), Ukraine and Latvia are at (1-2) while Belgium is left at 0-3.
