Serbia (4-1) despite playing without injured Stefan Markovic got the win 77-65 over France (3-2) and finished on top of Group E, leaving Lithuania (4-1) in the second place and “Les Bleus” in the third, while Ukraine (2-3) got the fourth place and the last ticket to quarterfinals.
The team of coach Duda Ivkovic proved more than ready for the game, as Nenad Krstic dominated the paint (19 p., 4 r., 3 as.) and the duo of Bogdanovic (14 p.) and Nedovic (17 p.) did their damage in the back court with the Golden State guard introducing himself to the NBA in a match up against Tony Parker. Five players from France scored in double digits, but Serbia controlled the rhythm of the game and did everything a little bit better.
