Dusan Ivkovic and his young Serbian national team finished on the top spot of Eurobasket Group E on Sunday night, they are one win away from the medal round and despite his statements before the tournament concerning the possibility of him leaving the team after Eurobasket 2013 he admitted that he loves to coach it.
As he said to Greek television station OTE TV: “I left a two years deal on the table in order to be with those players”. When he was asked if he was referring to his last club, Olympiacos, his reaction was: “There are also other teams”.
Duda also spoke about the goals of his team and he insists that Serbia’s priority after getting to the quarterfinals is the ticket to FIBA World Cup: “We have three games ahead of us and if we manage to get one win on those games, then we will achieve our goal”.
