Jonas Maciulis was the man of tha match in the win against Croatia, however his job and Lithuania’s job is not finished yet. Ten years after their gold medal in Eurobasket 2013, a new generation of Lithuanians has the chance to get to the top and will fight for it.
Before the second semifinal between France and Spain, Maciulis talked about Sunday’s big clash: “ It’s not my job to tell what should we do, our coach will tell us what to do. There is day off before the final, we are going to have one practice and they will show us everything we need to do. First of all we have to wait and find out who is going to be our opponent on Sunday. However, when you fight for gold you have to beat anybody that comes on your way. If it’s Spain we will have to try to beat them, if it will be France we will have to do the same and they will do the same”.
However, Maciulis was asked about France, since Lithuania has already won the second round game against Tony Parker and company: “The final is a different story. Actually every day is a different story, every day, every game. Maybe that day somebody didn’t feel good, maybe there were some injuries. Now they are playing great, I saw them in the quarterfinals and they played great, but it looks like that we are getting in shape too”.
