A great team can rebound after a disappointing defeat and that’s what happened with Spain and the bronze medal on the line. Sergio Llull had 21 points, Marc Gasol added 17 points and 8 rebounds in one more dominant performance as Spain beat Croatia 92-66 and finished on the third place of Eurobasket 2013.

Croatia put up a fight for the first 15 minutes and led by a point (28-27), but Spain’s answer was a 20-8 run in the next five minutes and the first half ending with a double digits lead (47-36) for the players of coach Orenga. For the losing side, Nets draftee Bojan Bogdanovic had one more good game. He had 22 points in total, but he scored 17 of them in the first half and couldn’t keep up in the same pace until the end of the game.

“A medal is a medal. We wanted gold but you can get one every time,” said Ricky Rubio after the end of the game.
