Nemanja Bjelica is reported to be “very, very unlikely” to join Serbian in the EuroBasket, by American journalist Darren Wolfson.
The forward of the Minnesota Timberwolves is still recovering from the foot surgery he underwent on March 21 to repair a fractured navicular bone and apparently he won’t be able to play for his country’s national team this summer.
Bjelica also missed the Olympic Qualifying Tournament and the Games in Rio due to an inflamed never issue on his right foot. He last played in an international tournament in EuroBasket 2015 where Serbia finished fourth.
Told Bjelica very, very unlikely to play for Serbia in EuroBasket in Sept. Still recovering (foot surgery). Shooting while seated. #Twolves
