Narrow win for Italy, sweep for Germany

Italy prevailed against Finland with a narrow 75-70 win, with Marco Belinelli and Luigi Datome tapping 14 points each.

The latter came back in action after a week due to an elbow injury and Ettore Messina immediately used him in the game.

For Finland, Lauri Markannen stood out with a 19-point performance (7 rebounds).

Earlier in the day, Germany swept Iceland 90-66 in the friendly tournament in Kazan. Danilo Barthel led the winners with 18 points. It is to be noted that Dennis Schroder wasn’t included in the roster for the game.
