Turning point: The Lithuanian squad managed to have an offensive outbreak during the second period, leading 41-32 at halftime. Despite an attempt to trim the deficit, Italy was still down 57-49 after 30 minutes.
Key players: Mindaugas Kuzminskas contributed 14 points for Lithuania, Jonas Valanciunas had 13, while Mantas Kalnietis added 12 more. For Italy, Gigi Datome led with 24 points.
Notable moments: Marco Belinelli achieved one great milestone with the Italian NT, as he reached the 2,000-point mark.
