In the second quarter, the lead increased to 17 points (38-21), and the first half eventually ended 42-27. Nothing changed until the end
The star: Luka Doncic stole the show for the winners. The 18-year old flirted with a triple-double, as he finished the game with 14 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Anthony Randolph was also impressive with 21 points. Klemen Prepelic added 14 points.
The key: Slovenia’s offense and tough defense (Ukraine’s offense scored only 55 points), Doncic’s all-around great game and the quality gap between the two teams gave to Ukraine much more than they could handle.
Not enough: For the losing side, Maksym Pustozvonov finished the game with 11 points and 4 rebounds. Denys Lukashov added 9 points. Olexandr Mishula missed the game due to injury.
