Coach Adomaitis and Valanciunas attended the press conference on Lithuania’s behalf and both seemed devastated.
“We underestimated them, we thought it was going to be easy, but it wasn’t”, was Valanciunas’ opening quote. “We made a big mistake that cost us a lot”.
After Valanciunas’ short speech, coach Adomaitis followed: “You cannot make these mental mistakes in such a game. We knew they were a very good team with high-level players, winning the championship and the EuroLeague.”
