After the loss to Spain, the president of the Turkish Basketball Federation and former star player of the national team talked about the future of the squad, making the following comment:
“We will do a good job. The tournament is over for us. During this process, we were faced with unacceptable negativities. We saw that people who wanted to harm this team also appeared from time to time. No one should doubt that I, as president, will make the necessary clarifications. As long as we (the Federation) exist, our national team can not be hurt by anyone. As the president, I will not allow this, but now it is not the time to say more,” Turkoglu said to Turkish NTV Spor.
