The “Dragon” of Slovenia admitted that the Serbian roots of one part of his family (his father is Serbian) tip his preference scale towards the “Orlovi” for a gold medal match-up.
“Serbia has already been in this position many many times. You know… I don’t care who will play in the Final. Because we feel we deserved this gold medal. Of course, my family originates from Serbia so… why not Serbia?”, said Dragic.
Serbia will face Russia in tomorrow’s (15/9) semifinal and Igor Kokoskov Belgrade-born Igor Kokoskov added that he will support Sasa Djordjevic’s squad.
“My heart is with Serbia. I was born and raised in Belgrade. With all the respect to the Russian national team. I’m cheering for Serbian team. What we know is that we’re going to be on Sunday’s final for sure. Whenever the game is scheduled, we’ll be there. We’re not going to be late.
