“I’m fine it is an ankle injury, in one-two weeks I’ll be fine and ready to go”, said Doncic who also commented on the game, his feelings after the injury and the last minutes of the game: “I could not help my team, but they apparently did not need my help. They won the game, against a very tough opponent, Serbia and I’m really proud of my teammates and coaching staff.”
As for the final, he added: “I don’t know. I can’t believe we have won the EuroBasket. We did it! We are European champions, for the first time in our country’s history. I just can’t believe it”.
And after all this, he expects something really big when he returned to Slovenia.
