The third gameday of Eurobasket 2015 qualifying round included a surprise in Austria against Poland, the big win of the Netherlands on the road over Montenegro and also Montenegro, FYROM, Latvia and Italy staying perfect and having the top spot of their groups

The third gameday of Eurobasket 2015 qualifying round included two surprises, as Austria beat Poland (83-81) in Group C and the Netherlands prevailed on the road over Montenegro (65-60). In Group A behind 29 points by Mirza Teletovic, Bosnia got the 72-62 win over Iceland and has a 2-0 record. In Group D, FYROM is at 3-0 after beating Belarus (81-70) and on its way to a qualifying top spot. The same applies to Latvia in Group F after beating Romania (88-65) and in Group G to Italy (2-0) after toying with Switzerland, which doesn’t have the NBAers Sefolosha and Capela available for the games.

However the game of the day was the overtime 91-90 road win of Georgia over Portugal, which caused a three way tie in Group E between Georgia, Hungary and Czech Republic at 2-1. The winners got in total 36/53 free throws against 15/19 of the losing side, while Zaza Pachulia had 25 points for Georgia.
