The puzzle of the teams which will take part in the next Eurobasket is about to be completed. Eleven countries are already known (Ukraine, Spain, Estonia, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Lithuania, Serbia, Greece, Finland and Turkey) and after the fifth gameday of the qualification round five more teams were added.
Belgium beat easily 99-73 Belarus having Lojeski in great night and Latvia prevailed over Slovakia (89-65). Βoth got the ticket to the Eurobasket 2015. The biggest surprise was that Romania qualified also thanks to the buzzer-beater of Gutoaia (88-86 vs Sweden). This will be the first time Romania will take part in the European championship after 1987!
Moreover, Bosnia won also the ticket for the Eurobasket 2015 after the huge comeback against Great Britain. Also, Israel thanks to Omri Casspi celebrated the win over Netherlands and one more participation in a Eurobasket.
Russia managed to take the big road 68-72 win over Italy with Anton Ponkrashov and Timothei Mozgov playing great for their team.
