In his first game with Austria for the second phase of the Eurobasket 2021 pre-qualifiers, Sylven Landesberg stole the show. The player who has was born in the US and also has an Israeli passport scored 49 points, 40 of them in the first half, as Austria strolled on the road against Great Britain and got the 96-82 win.
Landesberg also had 10 rebounds and five assists, while making 15 out of 27 shots. The European national teams which couldn’t make it to the second phase of the FIBA World Cup qualifiers are competing in the Eurobasket pre-qualifiers for a chance to be part of the 2021 European championship.
