Umana Reyer Venice outlasted visiting Germani Brescia Leonessa with a 68-60 victory in Round 2 of the 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16.
Jeremy Chappell led the winners with 19 points, four rebounds, while on the other end of the court, Andrea Zerini posted 13 points.
The hosts kept Brescia to just 9 points scored in the second period and easily built a 33-22 lead at halftime. Things didn’t change much in the second half, despite a 22-14 run by the visiting side in the fourth period.
Both teams now hold a 1-1 record, while Group F action continues on Wednesday as Promitheas takes over EWE Baskets.
