Klemen Prepelic posted another MVP-like performance in a crucial turn this season, as Joventut Badalona prevailed over Tofas Bursa with an 88-84 victory.
The Slovenian guard dropped 37 points (10-16 FG), a season-high for him in both 7DAYS EuroCup and Liga Endesa combined, to go along with seven assists and two rebounds for a total PIR of 45.
On the opposing end, Sammy Meija paced Tofas with 20 points, five rebounds, and five assists, for a team-high PIR of 34.
Joventut struggled to find its pace for nearly three quarters, as Tofas led 48-39 at halftime and kept a slight 68-67 lead after 30 minutes.
Prepelic signaled the hosts’ comeback in the fourth, as they managed to stop the Turkish side’s streak so far in the Top 16 round.
Earlier in Round 3, Unicaja Malaga outlasted Andorra with a 92-88 victory.
