Veteran guard Rickey Paulding posted 22 points and paced EWE Baskets Oldenburg to an 89-84 victory over Germani Brescia Leonessa in Round 4 of 7DAYS EuroCup.
Braydon Hobbs and Rasid Mahalbasic followed Paulding’s lead, posting 15 points each, while Brescia’s Awudu Abass posted a team-high 21-point performance.
The home team was in total charge in the first half, leading 52-37 at halftime, though a 29-point run by Brescia in the third period was enough to trim the deficit to 76-66. While the Italian team pushed with Deandre Lansdowne (14 points) and Kenneth Horton (11 points) in the final minutes of the game, the home team grabbed its second victory in the Top 16 round in the end.
Earlier in Round 4, Mavrokefalidis and Promitheas Patras got past Reyer Venice.
