Tony Wroten joined Joventut Badalona, Anwil Wloclawek announced and the Spanish club confirmed on Thursday. Badalona bought out his contract with the Polish team.
While the player was offered to Olympiacos, it turned out there was never any real interest for him and Wroten’s side decided to take the offer stemming from Spain.
The Washington alum competed in 151 NBA games between the Memphis Grizzlies and the Philadelphia 76ers before moving his talents to Europe. A right knee injury prevented him from extending his NBA career despite becoming a fan favorite in Philly.
Traveled to Estonia for Kalev/Cramo for the 2018-19 season and joined Anwil for his second European campaign. He was averaging 18.6 points, 4 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1 steal per Basketball Champions League appearance with the Polish outlet up to his departure, also put up 12.1 points per PLK match.
In Spain, Wroten will meet his new club at 2-2 in 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16 and 8-11 in ACB.
