Reyer Venice edged visiting EWE Baskets Oldenburg 82-78 at home in Round 5 of 7DAYS EuroCup’s Top 16 and took a step forward to the chase of a ticket to the quarterfinals.
Jeremy Chappell led four more players of the Italian side with 16 points, three rebounds and three assists. The Venice side spoiled a big performance by Oldenburg’s Rasic Mahalbasic, who exited the court with 24 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Promitheas Patras defeated Germani Brescia Leonessa 67-56 at home and is now also closer to the quarterfinals of the competition.
Loukas Mavrokefalidis led the efforts of the Greek team with 15 points and seven rebounds, while Brescia’s Tomasso Laquintana added 16 points and four rebounds.
