Rytas Vilnius announced on Saturday that Linas Kleiza is stepping down from his position as the team’s sports director. Team Manager Rolandas Jarutis mentioned via the press release that his team will not look to hire another sports director in the near future.
Departing Kleiza additionally told Donatas Urbonas and 15min that he does not intend to retain his role among the shareholders. He received part of Rytas shares in 2017, afterwards was formally inserted into the front office.
Dainius Adomaitis’s squad is currently 2-3 with one game to go in 7DAYS EuroCup Top 16. As for LKL, a 14-7 W-L tally is good enough for a tie in second place with Lietkabelis behind Zalgiris that sits at 19-2.
