Promitheas Patras is interested in adding wing Terran Petteway and forward Deividas Gailius. The Greek club will compete in the EuroCup for the second straight year next season.
Petteway spent the previous season with Italian club Pistoia. He averaged 16.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 22 games of the Italian League. Peristeri, another Greek club, is also interested in acquiring the American player and may have the upper hand. Petteway has prior experience in the Greek League with PAOK Thessaloniki.
Gailius posted 16.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 14 games of the 2019-2020 Basketball Champions League plus 12.3 points, 2.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists in 21 games of the Lithuanian League with Neptunas Klaipeda. While the Lithuanian forward is an appealing case for Promitheas, there’s currently quite the financial difference between the two sides.
Meanwhile, Promitheas will be parting ways with Ukrainian forward Oleksandr Lypovyy after three years. The two sides reached a mutual agreement to terminate their deal since the player’s contract can’t be afforded according to next season’s budget.
