Olimpia Milano announced the loan of 19-year-old prospect Giordano Bortolani to fellow Italian League competitor Brescia for the upcoming season.
Germani Brescia Leonessa has acquired top Italian prospect Giordano Bortolani for the coming season on loan from his parent club, AX Armani Exchange Milan. Bortolani (1.93 meters, 19 years old) is a product of the Milan youth system and last month signed a contract extension with the club through 2025. He who spent the past season on loan to Biela, where Bortolani averaged 14.9 points per game in the Italian second division. A veteran of the Italian junior national teams, he made his debut with the Italian senior national team last season, too.
“Giordano Bortolani is one of the most interesting prospects at a national level, it is there for all to see,” Coach Vincenzo Esposito said of his newest player. “He is a guard with an excellent physique who has done very well in A2 also from a statistical point of view. The thing that intrigues me most about the boy is the great room for improvement he has before him: he has great potential and talent that I will like to work with.”
