Pau Ribas penned a three-year contract returning to Joventut Badalona, the Spanish club announced on Saturday confirming rumors on the 33-year-old Spaniard guard’s comeback.
With FC Barcelona since 2015, he also played for Caja Laboral and Valencia after getting to know basketball and becoming a professional with Badalona. He was only 4 when he began training and just 18 when he debuted in ACB.
Ribas eventually evolved into the Badalona captain just before moving on, but 11 years later goes back to his roots upon the conclusion of his five-year run with Barcelona.
The 2006 FIBA EuroCup, 2008 Copa Del Rey, and 2008 ULEB Cup winner added on his list of trophies with the 2014 7DAYS EuroCup title, the 2010 ACB championship, 2018 and 2019 Copa del Rey, and the 2015 Supercopa.
This past season averaged 1.6 points per EuroLeague game up to the early ending due to the coronavirus pandemic, 4.4 points per ACB game prior to the hiatus, and 9.0 points per match in the Spanish league’s season-ending tournament.
